We’ve all been there. We’re sitting in an airport lounge with plenty of time to kill before our flight departs. This can happen when you have a stopover or more often than not because you had to get to the airport early because of safety regulations.
Of course, there are many ways to pass the time. You could read a magazine or a book. If you don’t have one with you, there are usually stores that sell them. Another thing you could do is listen to music on your MP3 player. You have even more options if you have a laptop with you. You can listen to music, watch a movie, or go online. Many people, of course, will prefer to go online. These days, most airports provide wireless internet access. As a result, availability is not really a question. However, the cost of internet access at the airport almost certainly is.
Some airports are gracious enough to provide free internet access while others will charge you for it. When they do charge you for internet access, they usually do so in partnership with another company such as T-Mobile, Boingo, or Concourse, all of which operate at multiple airports. In addition to hourly plans, they also offer monthly prepaid packages, which you should only consider if you fly several times a month.
